On Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, FL, police officers busted nine people who were caught on camera looting a shoe store during the tragedy of Hurricane Irma.
Below is an image of the 9 people who were arrested. Some of them resisted arrest, and some of them were on probation for other offenses.
They include (from top-left to bottom right): Max Arvin Saintvil, Teonhki Robinson, Tyrell Pratt, Ryan Cook, Rossano Henry, Kenneth Pinkney, Michael Brown, Fitzroy Morton, and Romanye Brown (center).
Local TV station WPLG recorded the action as it was unfolding at Simon’s Sportwear shop on West Sunrise Boulevard. The video shows the crooks entering through a broken window and running off with merchandise.

“Going to prison over a pair of sneakers is a fairly bad life choice,” Police Chief Rick Maglione said in a statement posted on Twitter.
Also, earlier in the day, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department posted mug shots of two men charged in other hurricane-related crimes.
“Can’t say we didn’t warn you…28 Year olds Ryan Cook & Max Saintvil each face 6 counts of burglary from overnight #HurricaneIrma,” the department tweeted. –NYP
I tell you, it really takes a special kind of person to take advantage of a crisis like this. Pathetic.
